Veyron News Brief is my analytical blog, which I have been running since 2021 in London.

I worked as an analyst from 2014 to 2017 with macroeconomic data, inflation and consumer demand. I used ONS data and Bank of England reports – CPI, lending activity, household debt levels. From 2017 to 2021, I worked in business journalism, focusing on analytical reports covering central bank decisions, interest rate changes and corporate strategies. I worked with FTSE 100 company reports and their financial performance metrics.

At Veyron News Brief, I analyze global economic events and their impact on the UK economy. The focus is on decisions by the Federal Reserve, ECB and Bank of England, inflation reports, rate changes, major corporate actions and sector-level shifts.

Topic selection is based on impact on cost of capital, investment decisions and demand. If an event does not affect lending, business behavior or consumer activity, it is not analyzed.

Each article follows a fixed structure – event, economic context, business impact, scenarios. I use ONS data, central bank reports, CPI figures and corporate financial statements. I compare macroeconomic indicators with company performance – revenue, margins and capital expenditure.

The analysis includes time lags. Based on the data I have worked with, the impact of rate changes and inflation on business activity appears within a range of 3 to 9 months depending on the sector.

I also assess how global decisions affect London and the UK market – access to credit, working capital, investment decisions and employment. Each article provides a clear outcome – what will change, who will be affected and when the impact is likely to materialize. I do not provide a single forecast, but outline multiple scenarios based on key variables.

Veyron News Brief is an independent analytical blog. It does not replicate the news cycle. It provides interpretation of data and its impact on the economy and business.
